Recently, Securus Technologies made the decision to acquire GovPayNet to expand and improve their payment options. GovPayNet was founded by a former law enforcement officer twenty years ago in an effort to offer a greater range of payment options to the public. GovPayNet specializes in: property tax and assessment payments, restitution, probation oversight, traffic and criminal fines, electronic monitoring costs, records fees, publicly administered child support, towing and impound fees, plus a variety of payments to different federal agencies. GovPayNet has expanded such that they are in 26% of counties across the nation. GovPayNet also provides services to over 2,200 government facilities in 35 states.
